Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but currently call Vietnam home. I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.

If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I’m a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

PS. This video was recorded before the pandemic.

  2. Y'all, I'm from Cameroon and let me tell you. Puff puff and pap for breakfast is the best combo. But expect to have the deepest slumper you have ever felt afterwards 💤💤 Crepes hit too!

  3. I never want to eat street food ever again. It's dangerous, especially for women who ovulate every month. That food looks nasty. Pray the blood of Jesus Christ over everything that you eat.

  4. I hope everyone shown is paid well considering the revenue these videos bring in. Is it ‘nice’ that he’s interested. Maybe. Is it also big colonizer energy. Absolutely. Just cause he’s nice doesn’t justify the practice. He didn’t have to be in the video. Could have easily featured local talent rather than centering himself.

  5. I love traveling around the world and trying great delicacies. But with my fear of chronic diarrhea, especially as an outsider, these are one of those decision making moments where I'll be like… "should I stick with a diet my bowels would approve of, or should I just wear a diaper and wait for the worst as I dig into the spicy greasy street food,🍲?"🤯 🤣🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣😫😫

  6. I would love to take you to Sierra Leone and show you the lion mountain

  7. I went to ikotun as a south african, half the food i ate there was not to my liking cuz of the smell , Sonny is very brave and respectful, I love it . My personal favourite is the chicken stew, they KILL IT, and my other fave is puff puff with tea😭😭😭wow

  8. I love this channel and how he is not disrespectful to the food

  9. Nigerian women are so nice I used to know a few they used to braid my hair. When they see you they always greet you like family. I have never met a mean nigerian❤️❤️❤️

  10. He respects the different cultures and always has someone ice to say.

  11. That puff puff is common in Egypt too but we add honey or chocolate on top of it and it’s called zalabia

  12. Is that valid that he really paid $2 for a out of soup in Lagos isn’t a dollar like 300nira

  13. As a Nigerian the way he tried speaking broken was funny as hell

    Great job

Most people would look at you in a strange way don't be startled it's just strange

  14. 7:51 yeah, that's a rude hand gesture like the middle finger, lol! If you go to Nigeria again and see that… now you know 😂😂😂

The nostalgia! I miss Nigerian food!

  15. The porridge lady with tribal marks has no time for games lol. It's serious business or nothing lol . Great video all the same. Thanks for showcasing Africa. Have binged on most of your videos. I'm from Zimbabwe
