If you have one day to eat, this German food tour of Munich will give you some serious satisfaction. I have to admit, I going to multiple back to back restaurants to eat German food is a challenge – German food is so hearty and so filling. By the end of this food tour in Munich, I was ready to sleep immediately!

Here are all the details about the restaurants and prices of the dishes I ate:

1. Andy’s Krablergarten
Andy’s Krablergarten is known for their schnitzel, and they serve it up in a huge way. The cutlets are made from pork, and they are big and fried fresh. I tried a Hamburg schnitzel with eggs and a Munich style schnitzel with horseradish in the breading. It was fantastic.

2. Andechser am Dom
This is a nice German food restaurant, located on the side of Munich Frauenkirche, a major landmark in the heart of Munich. They serve a variety of traditional German Bavarian cuisine. My favorite dish was the mixed sausage plate, but the leberkäse was also good.

4. Bergwolf
Bergwolf is a German fast food restaurant in Munich, and their speciality is currywurst, a plate of sausage topped in sauce and fries. It’s not the healthiest of all German dishes, but it sure tastes pretty amazing – one of those 3 am kind of dishes.

  27. Northeast of Munchen there’s a village off Autobahn 9 halfway between Nuremberg and Regensburg. It is called Lengenfeld and it’s brewery/restaurant/gasthof has the world’s best beer, Kupfer Spezial. Nearby there’s another amazing hotel, Romantik in Parsberg. There’s many amazing places to grab a schnitzel.

  34. I am a German-American and I grew up with many traditional Deutsch foods, but there are many I still have to try. There are a couple of German restaurants around where I live luckily. I know they're not as common as they used to be.

Hahaha, yea that was german classic food, but you have vorget to eat Bratkartoffeln mit Speck Zwiebeln und Spiegelei on top, (fride Potatoes with Bacon, onion and Fried egg , or Grühnkohl with Erpelschlag mixing with Möhren and that's what's more a Krakauer 😂 German Kitchen is Rustic, hearty, but delicious 😁 But real German food is Bred with Nutella or Liver sausage for Breakfast, Pizza, Hamburger, Nuddeln or French fries for lunch and Bred again for Dinner evening also with Nutella or Liver sausage 😂The only one what stay original, is the German Beer and Schnitzel 😅🍺

  47. I have a food allergy to potatoes but I eat just about anything else. Maybe however since you are in Germany, try the fries with mustard. Which is healthier than ketchup.
